Mamamama!

What are you really trying to say?,
I do try to understand “Mamamama!“,
You don’t need changing, don’t want cuddles or food,
I really don’t understand “Mamamama!”.

You’ve had your food, been changed and don’t want to play,
Still you’re shouting “Mamamama!”,
I have you on my knee, nothing is wrong,
You sit there repeating “Mamamama!”

“It’s a mothers instinct, you’ll know what he wants”
What do you want when you shout “Mamamama!”?
Its time to sleep, you’re tired, you’ve had a busy day,
You stand in your cot shouting “Mamamama!”.

I settle you down, get you to sleep, its peaceful and quiet,
Through the monitor I hear you dreaming “Mamamama”.
